How to maximize your ROI when you treat your audience to Rhoberta Shaler.

We want to be sure to give you the very best service we can. Here are a few things that you can do to help us give you even greater value for your money:

  • Please have both a lavaliere microphone and a handheld cordless microphone for Rhoberta's presentation. It is important that a sound technician be available for the twenty minutes prior to her presentation to assist with sound requirements.
  • Please ask the emcee/host to read the provided introduction for Dr. Shaler as it is written, as it directly relates to her presentation.
  • If Dr. Shaler's presentation is part of a luncheon or dinner meeting, please have only vegetables and fruit for her. She is allergic to wheat, oats, rye, barley, caffeine and dairy products so this is important.
  • It is best if your group is in a good mood prior to her presentation. Please refrain from making sad or long announcements directly prior to introducing her.
  • Dr. Shaler is happy to attend your social functions in order to meet as many of your members as possible. She will disappear by 11 PM, though. Also, in order to be at her best for your presentation, she cannot stay in areas where folks are smoking.
  • For people to receive the greatest benefit from Dr. Shaler's programs, it is best not to schedule events where alcohol is served prior to her presentation.
  • Please have the hotel seat the audience close to the speaker. This increases rapport with the audience and easily allows for audience interaction.
  • As Dr. Shaler often uses an LCD projector during her presentation, the lighting in the room is important. Please choose a room in which separate lights can be on Dr. Shaler while decreasing lighting in the area of the projection screen.
  • It is distracting for your audience if doors close loudly. If this is the case in your chosen room, please ask the hotel to provide you with door stops or position a designated person near each door to close it quietly.
  • Please set up any coffee breaks outside the meeting room. Again, the noise and traffic is distracting for your group.
  • If food is being served, please have the wait staff clear the tables AFTER the speaker is finished.
  • In all cases, please have the room set with the speaker in the middle of the long side of the room opposite the entrance doors. To create intimacy, chevron the seats and tables so that sight lines are clear. It is preferable to have two aisles with a central row of seats. This gives Dr. Shaler people seated in front of her which, again, creates rapport.
  • It is preferable for handouts to be placed on the empty seats prior to the presentation. If this is not possible, please have at least two designated people to distribute handouts at the appropriate time during the presentation.
  • We want to maximize the learning and enjoyment for your group by presenting a first-class program. Attention to the points above will make a great difference.

Thanks so much.
